Welcome
It is on again - Silverstream Lions Club invites you to take part in this fundraising ride, enjoy a popular, well-marshalled course followed by lunch and prize giving. A great mornings work-out and perfect preparation for the Taupo Challenge.
The Event
A choice of 1, 2 or 3 laps of Whiteman's Valley east of Upper Hutt in a 33km, 66km or 100km ride that will really test riders in a Taupo-like profile course. Each lap of the valley includes the notorious and challenging Blue Mountains hill climb along with scenic, rural valleys and flat suburban streets.
After the ride entrants will again enjoy an extensive buffet lunch and sponsored prize-giving.
Event Director Jon Beere comments "Riders appreciate this well-marshalled event - rider safety is of paramount concern. All roads will be open to traffic and we want to help ensure riders obey the road rules, motorists are not unduly inconvenienced and everyone gets home safely. I've ridden the route many, many times now and really think this is turning into a great annual event."
